Welcome to my website!

I teach Spanish language, cultures and literature at WestConn in Danbury, Connecticut

I designed and direct the WestConn Summer Language, Arts and Culture Study in Spain

To learn more about this exciting program please click  here

and I advise  Chapter Chi Zeta  of the National Collegiate Hispanic  Honors Society Sigma Delta Pi

Before receiving a Ph.D. in Spanish from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, in 2002, I worked as a simultaneous interpreter and translator and traveled professionally throughout the Spanish-speaking world

Learning and teaching languages, cultures and literature is my passion and a profession that I enjoy

I believe in staging knowledge and learning through experience, therefore I travel with my students, and  help them learn through hands-on creative activities such as, among others, designing Days of the Dead Altars, and participating in a multicultural holiday celebration Las Posadas.
