Micro-Garden

Micro-Garden (Stan Brakhage). I'm not his biggest fan, but on this form, you have to hand it to him. One of his hand-painted optically-printed highly active abstractions, reds and greens and yellows and blues on a field of emulsion fractures. 3 minutes long, but a maximum shot length of a quarter-second, so a lot is happening, and you'd like to see the film 2 or 3 times in a row. Shot length? I'm not sure these even really are shots but a series of optically-printed frames gives way to another such series, and I suppose that meets a basic definition of the shot.
