Peter Cramer Characteristics




Peter Cramer is a classically trained dancer who fell into film making after moving to NYC in the late 70s, and started making films after joining P.O.O.L as part of his performances. He has worked in Super 8 film and video, utilizing color film typically but in his piece "Black & White Study" shot only in black and white with his two characters being one black dancer and one white dancer. His subjects tend to be politically and emotionally charged issues, many focusing on various gay rights issues ("Patty Rocks the Blocks") to AIDS related issues ("Short Memory/No History: AIDS ART ACTIVISM").
