1.  A solar "year" is technically 365d/5h/48m/45.51s+.  Informally, it might mean several hours ("I've been waiting for years for you"  to several actual years "How long has she been snowboarding?"  "Oh, for years."   Demonstrate how a word of your choice can be used to mean very different durations.

 

2.  How long is a "while?"   Provide two examples of different people in different contexts to show it meaning two very different durations.

 

3.  How far away is the future?  How many years ahead do you think you can ask a typical American about their future?
