1. Hoffman suggests that it’s counter productive to think of sanity as an either-or proposition, which is a strange suggestion at first. It’s possible that they same could be said about other cognitive conditions like ADHD, PTSD, and many other initials.  Write a short essay on looking at sanity as a multi-valued condition. What would this mean? How might it change the way we think about sanity (and lack thereof)?  Be prepared to read this in class.
