The Historical Figure

In this speech, you will introduce us to a historical figure of your choosing, who you think should be better appreciated.  This should be someone less famous than the usual heroes of people with a holiday.  You can pick anyone from any place or time, but the person must be real, not fictional.

You should have three or four historical facts and your argument for the the importance of the consequences; telling us  why this person should be more widely known than he or she is.  You should be persuasive and gear your arguments to this audience.
