                                           Range:  Connecticut south to Florida and as far west as Arkansas
                                             Length of Breeding Season:  September and October (North)
                                                                                                     October to December (South)
                                           Habitat:  Decidous woodlands and edges of temporary ponds
                                           Breeding Habitat:  Dry basins in decidous woodlands which will fill to form temporary ponds
                                           Clutches:  Up to 200 eggs, deposited singly in small depressions
                                           Hatching:  Within a few days after being covered with water
                                           Larval Statge:  4-6 months
                                           Adult Lifespan:  4+ years
