Test Zero

Test Zero is a 65-problem online test to help you review the things you should know before the course begins.  The test is worth 100 points for 50 problems (2 points per problem).  Any problems you do beyond 50 count as extra credit.  This may be your only opportunity for extra credit all semester.

You must have earned 50 (25 problems) points by February 8, or I will deduct 10 points from your total.

New Homework

All homework for the remainder of the semester is on line now.

Homework

Most homework assignments are worth ten points online.

You must ALSO hand in paper copies on the day the homework is due (clearly identifying the assignment, and with your name and section on it.)

If you have Special Needs

Make sure I know about it.  Give me your forms early.  Work due before you do your paperwork can't be made up.

Fall 2006

This course uses WebCT Vista.

You must make sure you know how to use it.  You will have an on-line quiz using WebCT almost every week.

Use the Quiz 00 to make sure you know how to use WebCT.  Be sure you SUBMIT the quiz before you exit.

Homework

Homework is graded online by MyMathLab. The due time is during class. You must also hand in paper copy of the homework in class on the day it is due for me to review.

Review test - due Saturday evening

You should already know most of the material in chapters 2 and 3.  Rather than waste your time going over it in class, you should review it on your own and do the first nine homework assignments on MyMathLab.  Those nine assignments will together count as a test.

Make sure you understand the rules.  You finished at least half of it by September 20 or you were penalized 10 points.

You must finish the whole thing by September 30.

Review quiz available

Review for Chapter 5:  There is a WebCT Vista review quiz available, identifying finance problems.  Take it as many times as you want.  Earn up to 10 extra credit points.

In class test - Date Fixed

The first in-class test will cover Chapter 3 sections 3 and 5 and all of  Chapter 5.   Thursday, October 12.
