    Everybody loves the Jeep Trail.    Pat Dennen loved it the most, as he went out fast from the start and won by about three and a half minutes.  The rest cruised easily behind for two miles, before a bit of an up hill for a mile.  Then there was that last mile.  Extra soggy this week after yesterday's rains.

    Mary Shafer won among the women, also by a margin of about three and a half minutes.

People    

    Some people are taking it easy before the Vermont City Marathon, coming up on May 25.  Watch for their performances, and let us know so we can report them here.

    Reliable Lou Denaro and his lovely wife Prasama took this week off for a trip to Bermuda.  Lou is changing jobs from Norwalk to Oxford, and using the break in the action to take a break in the action.  He risked his perch atop the Prestigious Roxbury Points Race, but with a relatively small field this week, only 32, his arch-rivals Fossil and Dan Lynch only did a little bit of damage to Lou's lead, leaving him still several points ahead.

    Jeff Tindell, one of several Fast Jeffs who run Roxbury is joining Jeff Sheldon on the sidelines, but while JS is there for a good reason (showing an unexpected bit of good sense as he tapers for his Vermont City Marathon next week), JT is injured.  In code, JT is on the DL for some PT on his PF. (Jeff Tindell is on the Disabled List for some Physical Therapy on his Plantar Fascia).  It is reported to be a tear, not the usual plantar fascitis, which is more of an inflammation.  He did it playing tennis (#3 on the Risky Things Runners Do to Get Hurt List.  #1 - Softball, slide in to second.  #2 - basketball.)  He'll be out 4 to 6 weeks.  Take care of it, Jeff.
