This June, Dr. Weinstein and five students went out to Colorado and worked with
Dr. Mark Stiger and Mr. Erik Bjornstad, and their students from Western State
College, on a Paleo Indian site in Gunnison, Colorado. This "trial class" also
participated in a three day tour of the 4 Corners area of the Southwest where
they toured Mesa Verde and camped out. Despite one mishap (one tent blew over in
a thunderstorm and filled with rain), the trip was absolutely breathtaking for
all of us. We hope to return to Colorado next summer, however, the trip depends upon sufficient funding. Learn more about the trip
